The TDS/EC pocket meter is a device designed to measure liquid density (TDS), conductivity (EC) and temperature (Temp ).

Low levels of organic material in water and thus low hardness are desirable characteristics in many fields. Softer water is better assimilated by the organism, has a higher oxygen-holding capacity, increases clarity and thus increases the ease of photosynthetic processes. Accurate estimation of water temperature, hardness and conductivity is therefore important in many fields.

The meter allows the amount of solids dissolved in a liquid to be determined quickly and precisely This makes it possible to indicate the water's state of contamination (ppm) and thus its suitability for drinking. The higher the water hardness index (ppm), the greater the possibility of harmful effects on the human body.

Themeter works by using the EC process , i.e. the electrical conductivity of liquids. Mineral substances such as salts, sodium, calcium, magnesium etc. increase the conductivity of the liquid indicating a higher hardness.

APPLICATION:

✅ Remove the protective cap ( it can be used as a container for measuring water)

✅ Switch on meter by pressing ON/OFF button

✅ Dip the tip of the meter into the water, not exceeding the immersion line

✅ Press the SHIFT button to change the operating mode of the instrument and the type of readings (TDS - ppm and °C; EC - µs/cm and °C; TDS - ppm and °F; EC - µs/cm and °F).

✅ After approximately 5 seconds the result will stabilise.

✅ In order to save the result, press the HOLD button when the measurement is complete.
