As a result, it retains its elasticity and resembles plasticine in consistency, attracting graphite particles when rubbed. In this way, it allows for specific effects necessary for professional drawing, such as shadows and halftones on large areas. The high plasticity of the eraser also allows it to be shaped to erase small elements in order to brighten or sharpen certain parts of the drawing. In this way, reflections can be created on hair, for example.
